For his second record with the string orchestra of the Santa Cecilia Academy of Rome, LP directs two of the most famous works for strings in the world : the Serenade in E Major op. 22 by Dvořák and the Senerade in C Major op. 48 by Tchaikovsky. This second opus follows on from the entire work made by LP with the orchestra since 2014. The success encountered with the concerts is just a reminder of the international press’ eagerness for their first disc, a compilation of Schubert’s work. « electrifying, deep, touching, and free as few discs nowadays » ralph Moore noticed. «this orchestra shows an impressive demonstration of virtuosity » David Vernier has said. |
