改編自美國30年代傳奇銀行大盜約翰狄林杰的真實故事，由當代兩大性格巨星強尼戴普、克利斯汀貝爾主演，【烈火悍將】、【邁阿密風雲】大導麥可曼恩執導，狄林杰為美國經濟大蕭條時期專門搶劫剝削一般老百姓的銀行，並且不斷挑戰公權力的傳奇大盜！當時沒有人能夠阻止狄林杰和他的兄弟，就算他被捕，他總是有辦法成功越獄，他個人亦正亦邪的魅力不只迷倒了美麗的女友比莉，並且成為飽受蕭條之苦的老百姓心中的英雄！音樂在這部警匪動作史詩中，扮演了畫龍點睛的妙用，當代藍調強將Otis Taylor的〈Ten Million Slaves〉在預告片中將狄林杰狂野不羈的本色完美呈現！而爵士史上最偉大女伶Billie Holiday的幾首經典曲目〈Love Me Or Leave Me〉、〈The Man I Love〉、〈Am I Blue?〉更是精準重現了當時的時代氛圍，當代性感爵士歌后Diana Krall獻唱一首〈Bye Bye Blackbird〉，這是片中狄林杰初識比莉，兩人首度共舞的戀歌。至於配樂方面則由曾以「揮灑烈愛」拿下奧斯卡最佳配樂的Elliot Goldenthal擔綱，他的作品包括有「異形3」、「蝙蝠俠」系列、「夜訪吸血鬼」等，當年更是與導演麥可曼恩合作「烈火悍將」，寫下動作片配樂標竿的一代巨匠，兩人暌違多年的再度合作，亦是影迷矚目焦點！
