《如果，音樂….》呈現當今備受矚目的假聲男高音奧林斯基，演唱三位巴洛克時期作曲家——菩賽爾、韓德爾與富克斯——的17首歌曲與詠嘆調。或許出人意料的是，與他合作的並非古樂器合奏團，而是他長年搭檔的鋼琴家米哈爾‧比爾。

「在這張專輯中，我們結合了那些啟發並觸動我們的詠嘆調與歌曲，」奧林斯基表示。「我喜歡把專輯視為日記中的篇章，它們呈現的是我作為藝術家當下所處的位置。」

而充分發揮史坦威平台鋼琴各種可能性的米哈爾‧比爾也坦率地說：「《If music…》並不是對如何以歷史正統方式演繹這些經典之作的答案。」在他看來，每一首詠嘆調或歌曲都是「經過深思熟慮的改編版本，展現其超越樂器形式本身的永恆魅力。」
