這些由男高音麥可．施佩爾斯(Oper! 2024年度藝術家)與女低音瑪麗-妮可．勒繆(伊莉莎白女王大賽藝術歌曲獎得主)所錄製的專輯，是八張董尼采第藝術歌曲作品獨唱專輯系列中的第三張。該錄音計畫有力的證明了董尼采第是19世紀歌曲作品的關鍵人物，以及長期由德國與法國主導的狀態下，義大利藝術歌曲在其領域中的重要性。
